This website is run by the Lighthouse Scholarship program, a program of Lighthouse Farms International, a registered non-profit in Uganda (Reg. No. 80020000391771). This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and what choices you have. Questions? Email lighthousefarmsinternational@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp at +256 750 321 520.
What we collect
Contact form: your name, email address, and the message you send.
Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
Technical data: our hosting provider records standard request information, including your IP address, for security and to keep the site running. We use the IP address only to limit abuse of the contact and sign-up forms; we do not build visitor profiles.
Cookies and tracking
The public site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no third-party tracking. The only cookie we set is a sign-in session cookie for our own staff when they log in to manage the site.
Videos on the site are hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and only load when you click play. Once you do, those services may set their own cookies and their own privacy policies apply.
How we use your information
To reply to enquiries you send us.
To send program updates you have asked to receive.
To keep the site secure and prevent abuse of our forms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except with the service providers below who help us operate the site.
Service providers
Vercel — website hosting.
Neon — database hosting, where contact messages and newsletter emails are stored.
Google (Gmail) — delivery of email notifications and replies.

How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept while they are useful for our records and follow-up. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices
Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.
Email lighthousefarmsinternational@gmail.com to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
